How do I Restrict Access for Users to their own Service Requests on Service Module

To restrict access for users to their own service requests, follow the steps below:

Go to Administration -> Access -> Access Control

Navigate to the roles section and select the role under which the access related changes are to be made

Please note, generic roles can not be altered and you will not be able to assign the service request restriction.

Navigate to ‘Restrict access to owned items’ region.

Select ‘Yes’ to restrict access of that particular role only to view their own service requests.

This configuration will let the user view their own service requests via Service module using filter, search, and different views like map, chart and list view.

Note – The scope of this enhancement will restrict the access for the particular Access Role users to OWN SERVICE REQUESTS for SERVICE MODULE only, it does not apply elsewhere on the platform. For example, if this configuration is set to ‘Yes’ for ‘Case Worker’ access role, then any user with this access role upon logging into Service module will see only his/her own service requests. But if the same user has access to other modules like Analytics or Contact centre then they can view/edit other things as per their access rights.

If a user has been assigned multiple access roles, and if this setting is turned on ‘YES’ for any one of the roles, then that user will be restricted to see only their own service requests.
