Admin users can allow customers to manually enter an address if their postcode is not found via the postcode picker.

How to configure advanced postcode picker?

Configuring the advanced postcode picker is straightforward and similar to the process of the location picker plugin.

You can configure the Advanced Postcode picker on the form by selecting the plugin.

How to allow or restrict the user from entering any address manually using advanced postcode picker.

The advanced postcode picker enables the user to allow customers or other users the option of manually entering an address while submitting the request.
 

1. Go to Administration -> Service request and case -> Settings.
2. Navigate to manual address region. 
3. If the address does not appear in the list select ‘Yes’ to allow the user to add their address manually 
4. Select ‘No’ to restrict the user from adding the address manually.
5. In addition you can add a customised message that instructs the user to contact the council or take any required action should their address not appear.

In an ideal scenario, while submitting the request, the user will need to do the following-

1. Enter the postcode and click on Go button.
2. The pre-populated list will contain all the addresses linked to the entered postcode.
3. Select the address and click on Next button.

If the admin user allows customers or other users to enter manual addresses, then while submitting the request, they can complete the text box’s as displayed in the screenshot below. 

If the admin user wishes to restrict the customer/user from entering the manual address, then the pre configured message will be displayed to them as per the screenshot.
