How do I control visibility of Customer information within Service Requests?

Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) allows you to control access to the appropriate information and objects within the system.  Access can be applied to Catalogues and Forms, and within Forms, Regions and Items along with Dynamic Tabs. 


There is a RBAC object which allows you to control the visibility of Customer Details on a Service Requests for Users via Access Roles.  This object allows you to enable or disable the view of the Customer Details within a Service Request in the  the Service Desk Module.  This also includes the Print Function within a Service Request and the ability to display Customer Details when using the Print to .pdf functionality.


Configure the object in an Access Role


Go to Administration > Access > Access Control


01. Edit or Add a New Access Role.


02. Click ‘Select Access Group’. 


03. Go to Access Role > Service Desk > Customer Details




04. Select ‘Customer Details’ to enable visibility.


Within Service Requests, the Customer Details will only be visible if this object is ticked within an Access Role.  This will also determine using the ‘Print’ function:-
