How do I configure and use the Street Collection Calendar?

Branding configuration on the Admin Portal

The user can configure branding for this page as below. The steps reflect the Waste Collection configuration.

• Administration > GDS > Portal V5
• Configure the Logo, Header Background and Text Color 
• Set the Separator colour
• Set the Footer colour, text and logo

Configuring the tasks against assets (streets)

The functionality considers the assets via the USRN associated with the postcode entered by the user. The tasks associated with those assets are then displayed in the results.

The user must configure a task type with ‘Service’ checked as the objective. 

Next, add a task with this task type against the asset.

All these tasks with ‘Service’ ticked against the type associated with the assets will be displayed when a user searches the relevant address.

Using the Street Collection Days functionality-

The councils can embed the URL link to their website, either on the MCS Portal or as an independent link. Customers can visit the page and use the functionality to retrieve their upcoming collections.

• Enter the postcode and click on the ‘Find’ button
• Select the address from the list and the upcoming street collections will be displayed below the region

• To search for another address, click on ‘Clear address and start again’
