For a collection schedule, this can be denoted as a Primary or Non-Primary Collection. Where a Non-Primary collection is denoted, this indicates that the collection takes place at a specified collection point.
Note
You will need to have 'Communal Points' enabled on your system before you can utilise this functionality.
What steps do I need to create a non-Primary collection schedule?
1. Go into the Administration tab, Waste and click on Communal.
2. The following screen will appear on the screen. To add a Communal point, you will need to know the UPRN of the location before proceeding. Once know click on "Add row".
3. You will need to enter a name, the Type which refers to the collection type e.g. Domestic Waste, to which this Communal point can be used, select Enable as Yes. In the UPRN column enter the UPRN and use the ENTER key.
4. Once you have entered these details, click Save.
5. When adding a schedule, the communal point can be specified if the Primary collection is set to No.
6. Once the schedule is created, the Communal collection point is visible from the schedule.
Note
For a Communal Collection, a Primary collection schedule will need to be added for the Communal point location, this will generate any collection tasks as required for collection rounds. For any collection schedules which are non-Primary, they will not display any collection tasks/services. These schedule along with the Primary will be visible in the collection calendar. If the system's Missed collection logic is used, the Primary schedule will be used to determine the appropriate logic and result.
