PRE-REQUISITE CONFIGURATIONS:
- Round Types, Collection Types, and Containers
Rounds combine the Waste configurations set up on your system with Area Data provided by your Organisation.
These Waste Rounds are comprised of all the Waste Collection Days for addresses within a certain area that's serviced by your Organisation.
Navigate to Administration > Waste > Rounds, and click on the button.
Give the Waste Round a name, and select the Collection Type you want to allocate. You're able to select multiple Collection Types, if required.
Round Areas can be determined through a geospatial shape file provided by your Organisation, or allocated manually. If you enable "Optimise Round", the MCS system will calculate the most efficient route for Mobile Waste Workers when this Waste Round is due for collection.
Select the applicable Collection Days, the relevant Round Type, and how frequently these collections will occur. The "Number" field is the Code used for Waste data imports, via CSV.
Scroll down the page to configure more options.
"Depot Details" and "Vehicle Details" are only applicable if "Route Optimisation" is enabled, as the system will take these into consideration when planning the most efficient route. "Depot Details" just requires an address. "Vehicle Details" ...
"Owner" only applies to the Waste Booking Plugin. When a Task is created relating to this Waste Round, it will assign the chosen Admin User as the Task Owner.
Under the "Active" section, the Effective Start Date determines when this Waste Round will go live on the system, and the Effective End Date determines when the Waste Round will end.
If "Collection Schedule" is selected, under "Allocated From", the Effective Start and End Dates will either be taken from the uploaded CSV file, or taken from the dates specified in a Contract related to Waste. If "Round" is selected, the dates within the "Active" section will be used.
Note
The Start Date should be set to the day before the collection is due, to give the system time to fully process and prepare the Waste Round. For example, if the first date of collection is 7th January, the Effective Start Date should be set to 6th January. Note that everything in the "Details" and "Active" sections are mandatory. Please ensure that the information entered or selected is correct.
