How to configure document types

Document Types


Document types can be added for submission and viewing for the following areas of the portal:


  • Articles
  • Assets
  • Customer
  • Leads
  • Opportunity
  • Projects
  • Service
  • Task


To add document types go to Administration>Data>Document Types.


Document types will be provided with a name and a code. In the options section, users can configure a retention policy if appropriate. They can add an expiry date and time where the document can be erased from the platform. Once gone this cannot be retrieved.


Users can configure whether files can be manually deleted from the platform. The screenshot below displays the ability for the user to remove a document from an SR. This functionality can be contained within an access role.


 


 


Access levels on documents can be configured as to who can submit and view document types. Please note: If public access on document types is granted then if My Reports/Drafts also have public access then any anonymous user would have the ability to view any anonymous document.


The actual type, Service, Task, etc can be configured for submission on the relevant area of the platform.
