How to configure internal slots for my bulky waste booking plugin

Created by Mark Eves, Modified on Tue, 26 Apr, 2022 at 3:59 PM by Mark Eves

The system now allows you to consume slots for a given day for internal purposes. For example, if there are 10 slots and you want to do collections that will take 4 slots, this functionality will allow you to book 4 of the available slots. This will reduce the available slots down to 6 slots for other users.

What steps do I need to follow to configure internal slots?

1. Go into Administration > Bookings and appointments > Items

2. Select the relevant bookable waste item, and click on Add >  Schedule

3. The following will appear on the screen. Click on Add >  Block Slots

4. The following pop-up will appear on the screen. Select the relevant Template from the pre-populated list, as per the bookable waste item configuration. Select the corresponding Schedule, and the date when the internal slots should be blocked. Once a date is selected, the available and booked slots will appear.

5. Specify the number of slots to book, and click on  Block

Alternatively, you can block the internal slots via the Booking module.

6. Go into the Booking module, and click on  Action

7. The following pop-up will appear. Click on "Manage waste slots".

8. You will be taken to the following screen. Select the relevant Bookable Item, Template, and Schedule from the lists, as well as the date for blocking the slots.

9. Check the available and booked slots, and then decide whether to Add or Block the slots for this bookable waste item.

10. Click on  Save  to apply the changes.
