You can configure bookable items so that a notification will be sent out whenever a customer books it. This can be sent to confirm that the booking was made/cancelled, or at a certain time before/after the event begins/ends. You can decide who should receive the notification, and the sending method.
What steps do I need to follow to add a notification to a bookable item?
1. Go to Administration > Bookings and Appointments > Items. From here, you can view and edit existing bookable items. You can search for particular booking items, and use the filter button next to the search box to locate specific types of booking items.
2. Locate the relevant bookable item, and click on the button to configure it.
3. The following page will appear. Click on Add >
on the right side of the screen.
4. The following pop-up box will appear on the screen, where you can configure a notification for this booking item. You can decide when the notification should be sent - on confirmation of the booking, on cancellation of the booking, before the booking starts, and after the booking ends. For the last two, you will need to specify a duration. You can also decide who the notification should be sent to - a specific person, Admin Users with a specific Access Role, the booker themselves, or to specific email addresses (Adhoc).
5. Scroll down for further options. You can specify the sending method, and what should be sent. You will need to select a pre-configured message template, and you can also attach various pieces of information to the notification, including a calendar invite, an eTicket/Apple Passbook, the full booking details, etc. The notification will need a subject and a message, and you have the ability to add Dynamic Fields.
6. Click on
to finish.
7. On the booking item page, scroll down or click on "Notification" to view the notification message you have added.
