The system now allows you to offer discounts to users for the prices of their bookable waste items, based on the amount of the percentage.
What steps do I need to follow to add discounts to bulky waste items?
1. Go into Administration > Bookings and appointments > Items
2. Scroll down to the relevant bookable waste item, and click on to configure it.
3. The following screen will appear. On the right hand side, click on Add >
4. The following pop-up will appear. Provide a title and a code for the discount, and determine if it will be fixed (a flat amount taken off the price) or a percentage.
Click on
and save the configuration.
5. You should still be on the edit page for the bookable waste item. Scroll down to the bottom of the page.
Under "Waste discounts", click on the
button.
6. The following pop-up will appear on the screen, providing you with the steps needed to configure this discount on a relevant form.
7. To use this discount price on a bulky waste form, go into Administration > Forms Builder, and search for the relevant catalogue and form.
8. You should have a page dedicated to the "Bulky waste booking" plugin. On the PREVIOUS page, add a new Select List item (i.e. the Select List item should be on a page before the user accesses the page with the Bulky Waste Booking plugin).
9. Set the item code as "P_BULKY_DISC_CODE". This is mandatory in order for the payment process to work correctly.
10. When adding the Select List item, make sure the VALUE and the KEY are the same as the discount item(s) you configured for the bookable waste item.
11. Click on
and publish the form.The discount on price will be shown to customers using the bulky waste plugin via the Customer Portal, or to admin users via Service Desk on the Admin Portal.
