Know My Bin Day - Updates

To make the ‘know my bin day’ logic coordinated across adding waste schedules manually and using the contracts and file upload, changes have been made to set the schedulers to the start date of the round.  The system will consider the start date of the round, current date and the frequency of the round while applying the logic and generating associated tasks.

Changes include-

• Only ‘Effective start’ date of the round (Administration -> Waste -> Round -> Round detail) will be considered as the start date of the round.

• This date will need to be set the weekend before first collection for this Round e.g. first collection is Tuesday 9^th March, date should be set as 7^th
  

• The administrator will no longer select date allocated from round or collection schedule. It will be based on the effective start date only.

NOTES

• Both the Know my Bin Day and Task generation (if enabled) will use the effective start date configured on the round, with current date and frequency to calculate the correct dates for the schedules.

• Manually added schedules – when waste schedules are created manually, the schedule start date will be the day before the first date of collection g. if schedule is created on the 8^th March but the first collection is 10^th March, the start date of the schedule will be the 9^th March.

• Schedules added or updated using the File upload – The administrator need not enter start and end date while uploading the files to create schedules. To update the end date on existing schedules, ensure the schedule id is included and the relevant end date. The system will overwrite any date with the round date.

• Contract rules – If a schedule is created using contract rules, the system will take the start date of the Contract. The schedule start date will be the day before the first date of collection from the Contract start date g. if Contract has a start date of the 8^th March but the first collection is  10^th March, the start date of the schedule will be the 9^th March.  The end date of the schedule will be the end date of the Contract.
