How do I add an events booking plugin to a form?

Once you have fully configured an events booking item on your system, you will be able to use it on a form. Customers that use this form will be able to select this event booking item when applying for a booking, so long as it has been included in an events booking plugin.

You will need to have fully configured an events booking item before it can be used with an events booking plugin on a form. Please refer to this article for instructions on how to create and configure an events booking item.

What steps do I need to follow to add an events booking plugin to a form?

1. Go to Administration > Forms Builder. Locate your events booking form, or create one under an appropriate catalogue.

2. Add an item, and configure the Item Type as "Plugin" and "Booking Events". Under the "Advanced" heading, select the relevant events booking item facility. If you scroll down, you will be able to set whether this item should be mandatory.

3. Scroll back up and click on Add to add the events booking item to your form.

4. The screen will refresh, and the events booking item will have been added to the form tree on the left side of the screen. Go back into the events booking item to configure the code, which needs to be as follows: P_EVENT_BOOKING_PLUGIN. This is a mandatory and important step, as any payment processes will not work correctly if the code is not set properly. Click on Save to apply the change.

For seasonal event bookings:

5. The process is almost identical for season event bookings. When configuring the plugin at item level, select "Booking Event Season". Under the "Advanced" heading, select the relevant season events booking item(s). You will still need to change the code to the following for payment purposes: P_BOOKING_EVENT_SEASON_PLUGIN. Click on Save to apply the change.
