My council services provides the ability to import a file for a select list which then imports the answer values in a bulk process.  .

Administration-> Service request and case -> Forms builder

Locate the specific form which contains the select list.

 On select list item in Form, go to Import

 You can use Download sample file to download the template by clicking on "Download Sample File".

 Once downloaded, fill in the details as follows :-

Value = Select list value

Key = Select list key

Enabled = 1

Please ignore PK as this will populate once the select list is uploaded.

Other columns can be left blank.

Once file is ready upload in ‘File Name’

Select Next and then the display data will be loaded,  check this is fine and if its correct select Next. You can adjust target columns here if needed but shouldn’t need to if file is correct.

Then there’s a validation phase, check and then load data.

Final confirmation screen of what’s been loaded.

Click Finish.

Once loaded, you will see all values in the select list.

You can use the same file to upload the same select lists if used on different forms.

You can use files to upload dynamic select lists also, and in this you will need to specify PK value (Parent Key value) – can cover this on advanced training if needed.

Example file attached.
