You will need to know which area of the system you want these added to. At database level there is a mapping to each area as follows so once loaded will be visible as relevant.
5 = Ward
6 = Area
11 = Parish
12 = Waste Round (you will need a Waste Round configured with specific Collection Type(s))
When asking to load any shape files then please specify the relevant from above.
Shape files will need to have the geo-coordinates for the polygon (boundary) for each. Multiple boundaries can be included in one .shp file set but they must not include overlapping boundaries.
Each boundary should include a relevant and unique name (you can check this in the .dbf file which is normally provided). The shape file name can then be used as the display name in the system i.e. Area 1, Round Domestic Monday 1.
If shape files are reloaded into any area of the system, any historical data/reference will be lost.
