This article outlines the enhancements and further developments that form part of the v25.1 release, scheduled for deployment on live MCS systems on 1st March 2025.
If you have any questions regarding this release, please contact [email protected].
Functionality | Area | Description | Guide |
Microsoft 365 | Email Account | All councils are strongly encouraged to transition to using a Microsoft 365 mailbox within their own Microsoft 365 tenant for sending and receiving emails via the My Council Services system. Making this change will help prevent issues related to DKIM, spam filters, and email deliverability. Additionally, it will provide greater flexibility for future enhancements, such as Service Messaging. | Guide |
GDS Email Templates | Mail Templates | The improved email templates are available in all Demo instances for review. These bring an updated style to emails sent from the system but do not affect the content of emails. They also greatly improve the readability of emails on mobile devices. We recommend the GDS email templates are enabled in Production instances as soon as possible to ensure a consistent and improved experience across all communications. These can be activated upon request. | - |
GDS v5 Portal | Customer Portal | The portal is now available for testing and deployment with most customers. If you are interested in beginning to test the portal immediately on your demo system, please contact [email protected]. Specific changes included in the v25.1 release:
