The Print functionality is extended to Asset module enabling the admin users to print asset details with a pre-defined layout. It produces a document with printed information in a structured way for any particular asset. Please follow step-by-step guidelines categorised in section A, B, and C, to configure and use Print functionality for assets:

A. Create or update a layout for Asset

  1. Go to Administration  Branding  Layout

  1. Edit an existing layout or add a new one and configure the details for the layout such as name, type, sub type, layout format, output format, output filename, access level, description etc.
  2. Make sure you have selected Asset and Print Asset for Type and Sub type respectively.
  3. After configuring all the details for the layout, go to the next section (B) for assigning layout to category of the asset.

B. Assign the layout to asset category

  1. Go to Administration  Assets  Category
  2. Now, edit or add a new category for assets and select the configured layout for this category.
  3. Save the changes and go to the next section (C) for printing details of any asset.

C. Print details for assets:

  1. Now, go to Assets module and edit any existing asset created under the same category for which you have assigned the layout. (You can use category filter for quick search)
  2. On the right sidebar, go to Action and click on Print. All the details for that asset will be downloaded in the file format configured by you through new layout.

Note – Please use appropriate tags in the layout to print the relevant details for assets.
