The Google Analytics feature on MCS has been updated to GTAG JS to reflect the following changes:
- Include domain and page – The active page shows domain/page. For example mycouncilservices.com/login will be shown when a user is on the My Council Services website login page.
- Logging of events – When a user submits a service request on the portal the submission will be captured with the catalogue and form name under the Real-time -> Events. For example the screenshot below displays an event where the user has submitted the service request on the form named radio group check.
Note – The councils can add their domain under Administration -> General -> Google Analytics and put it in the Linker Domain field as shown in the screenshot in order to enable cross-domain tracking.
It is an optional field. This should be used when the customers want to enable the logging of events for forms across the website and to track back and forth across domains automatically.
