A "Guest" plugin has been implemented into MCS. By implementing this onto a form, anonymous users will still be able to submit Service Requests, but they will also be given the ability to sign up for account creation within the form itself.
Note
You can only use one Guest User plugin per form. Set the plugin as non-Primary if you want the information to display on the summary page at the end of the form.
What steps do I need to take to configure the Guest User plugin?
Go into Administration > Forms Builder and select the appropriate form.
Add a new Item, set the Item Type to "Plugin", and select the "Guest User" option. Scroll down to the Advanced section to select the fields you want to capture from the customer.
Save and publish the changes.
When accessing the form, the Guest User plugin will appear when filling out the Service Request. By clicking on the plugin, a pop-up will appear, allowing users to input their details. The user can then submit the request with this information held against the Service Request.
Click
once done.
Once the Service Request is submitted, the user will receive an email to set their password and register. The user details will be retained and valid for 7 days, after which the user will not be able to sign up via the email. The details captured against the Service Request will remain.
