The My Council Services platform allows you to create specific Notification Groups that accounts can be assigned to. Organisations can then send certain notifications to those groups.

What steps do I need to follow to configure and send messages to Notifications Groups?

1. Go into Administration > Notification > Groups

2. The following screen will appear. Click on  Add

3. Create the new Notification Group by filling in all mandatory details.

Click on  Add  to finish.

4. You will now need to add accounts to this Notification Group.

Go into Community > People and search for the relevant account.

On the right side, go into Manage >  Groups

5. The following pop-up will appear. Select the Notification Group you have created, and then close the pop-up.

Click on  Save  to apply the change.

6. Go into Administration > Notification > Send (you can also Test messages)

The following screen will appear. Click  Add

7a. The following screen will appear, where you can configure your Notification. Select the sending method and configure the message itself.

7b. Further down the page, you can configure who to send the message to. It's recommended that you test notifications before sending them by sending them to Admin Users first.

You can select the Notification Group you created, which will cause the message to send to accounts that have been added to that group.

Select whether to schedule the message broadcast for a specific time and date, or whether you will send it manually.

Click on  Add  to finish.

  Note

"Scheduled" messages will send at the time specified. For non-scheduled messages, you will need to go back in to the message once it has been added so you can send (schedule) the broadcast manually.
