Updating the status for the task of a cancelled appointment or waste booking

Upon the cancellation of an appointment or waste booking the user will now have the option to have the status of the related task which was created through the bookable item automatically update to a predetermined status, such as ‘cancelled appointment’ or ‘rescheduled appointment’


The ‘cancel status ’ status in the transition from Administration > Task > Transitions can be configured with the appropriate status.


 



 


If the Booking is cancelled, the task will be updated to the status denoted in the ‘cancel status’ box.


 


If the cancel status is not configured, the task will be removed as default.


 


We recommend that the status used here is a final status as this will ensure that any issues relating to loading tasks onto a device are avoided.


 


This can be further enhanced and used in a rule for where option = 'Task Status' to perform actions such as 'Change Parent Service Request Status'.


 


Rescheduled statuses within a Task transition are used with the 'My Bookings' functionality within Mobile Worker only and this cannot currently be performed within the Administration Portal.
