Rules are used to automate the workflow within the system i.e. assign an owner, send an email on a status change to the submitter of the report.
Each rule is part of a Process. There are two types of rules:-
- Event-driven, meaning something must happen for the rule to start,
- Time-based, meaning after a given time the rule starts.
For a rule to work the system will test if its conditions to run are met. If they are met then the rule will complete the actions.
