You are able to send the contents of service requests to different users as a PDF attachment sent via email.
(I) Defining the SR layout
It is necessary to define the SR layout prior to sharing it:
- Go to Branding -> Layout
- Add new layout.
- Configure the required details for the layout making sure to select the type ‘Service’, the sub-type ‘Share service request’ and the output format ‘PDF’.
Note – Only the layouts with sub-type as ‘Share service request’ will appear in the select list while sharing the SR as PDF.
(II) Sharing the SR
To share the service request content, the user can go to the specific request:
- Click on Share button under the action region as per the existing functionality.
- Select the recipient from the list.
- Sending method -> Email and Content -> Report content. Select ‘Yes’ to attach as PDF.
- Select the print layout as configured above.
- Enter the email subject and body as required and then click send.
The recipient will receive the PDF file containing the report information as per the layout.
